GLEN BECK BIT MY RHYMES!

I knew I wasn’t crazy! I’m sure Glen Beck is a smart guy. Why? Because he at least demonstrates his intelligence by ripping off good stuff. Please forgive me for tooting my own horn but I’m one of those people. Not only has he used my commentary as if it were his own without crediting me, he has also used my image in his content and also did not credit me. He’s like the Carlos Mencia of conservative commentary.
To those who try to say that I or anybody else out there who has beef about Glen Beck ripping us off, and that it shouldn’t matter who gets the credit as long as the message gets out, well I offer you this; Glen Beck himself always repeats that “Character means not caring who gets the credit.” If that’s the case then he shouldn’t care to take the credit for other peoples creativity.
It’s one thing for conservatives to all be on the same message, and of course we should be happy that the message gets out there no matter what. That’s not the problem. Each commentator has their own style of phrasing our like minded ideas, we texture and flavor our words differently. None of us has thought up anything new under the sun of conservatism principles, but the way we promote, maintain, and deliver these ideas are unique to each one of us, and Glen Beck has used my constructs almost verbatim. That is RAWNG!!!
To anybody saying that we’re jealous of Glen Beck I hope I can be pardoned for speaking on behalf of others by saying bite me! I’m not Jealous of Glen Beck at all. If i wanted to be on FOX NEWS I would have called. I like being on RED EYE, but that’s about it. If I wanted to do radio I’d pursue it. I’ve been approached on a few occasions to do radio, I turned it down. It’s not my passion. I like what I do on PJTV and YouTube.
To anybody who tries to say that we have sour grapes let’s see you stay jolly on the job and say, “It’s all great team, as long as it’s a job well done, who cares who gets the credit”, while your colleagues are getting promotions taking credit for the work you’ve done. Let’s see who’s got sour grapes then, and how well that, “Who cares who gets the credit”, B.S. floats.

I love Glenn but I love you, too and you’re right. He shouldn’t be using stuff other people say without giving them credit. If he gave people a heads up about you then you’d get a bigger audience thus more people to spread the message. Maybe he will see these criticisms and be more careful in the future.
He has been very instrumental in our climb back up toward the White House but he’s got to stay true to his word and give people credit for their work.

I’m not a blogger, but I noticed the problem a couple years back. I really think it is his researchers doing it. He thinks they’re reading textual sources and then performing analysis. I’ve known (could tell) for a couple of years they often feed him other people’s stuff. Not that it excuses him, but I really think he didn’t know. What pissed me off today was that he didn’t take it seriously enough. I think he was trying to back his people, but did it the wrong way. They need to re-examine their practices and make changes.
Unfortunately Boyle blows the whole article by not realizing the person who created ‘the truth has no agenda’ has been Beck’s friend for years and had authorized Glenn to use it. After that, you have to question the rest of the article. even if you believe parts of it to be true.
Amen… I would be non too happy knowing someone else was getting promotions for a job I did. Psshh! I don’t see anyone being happy about that.

Hey Zo, the very same thing happened to me. Like you, I was flattered by the theft, as long as credit was given to the originator. When people say, “That Beck is so this or that,” I think, “No, the person he stole from is so this or that.” And I LIKE Beck.
But ideas are the little jewels that we create. It’s like somebody walking into Krispy Kreme and taking donuts without paying or at the very least saying, “These are some EXCELLENT donuts!”

What did he use without giving credit? I pretty much watch & listen to everything the both of you do, so I’d recognize it I think.
This is the first I’ve heard of this. It would be nice if you provided some examples. I haven’t noticed the similarities, and I’ve watched Beck’s TV show on Fox regularly.
I’m betting Soros, Media Matters and Obama are laughing their butts off right now. All he had to do was drop a few million for an attack machine, pennies for Soros. They knew as soon at they scored a hit we’d start eating our own.
This is one of the reasons the Left will always win. They ignore their petty differences to focus on the greater goal of progress for the group. As much as many of their factions hate one another they are careful to stay allied. Meanwhile, we beat each other up constantly. We focus on every weakness and difference of opinion while they march forward in solidarity.
I’d be willing to bet if you’d called Beck he’d have personally apologize if you felt wronged. I have always respected you and loved your work. This is a shame.
Soros won, wins and will win again. This Republic doesn’t stand a chance while they organize and we take pride in piling on allies.

c’mon Zo . I love your work and I’m not a huge Beck fan. But c’mon , don’t be hatin’ . The left loves this type of rant . Barak is proud of you for this , they love it when anyone slams Beck epecially another conservative. This is another example of why the left is winning. You just helped campaign for O’bama . i’m still a fan of yours , just something to think about . peace out.

They turn on each other in an instant! Your jealouus rant Zo, quite frankly, totally turned me off! Two wrongs don’t make it right! One of Glenns staff could have repeated your words to him, and he liked the common sense of them, so he went ahead and repeated it. You should have called his show and asked to be recognized. Instead, you fell apart. I don’t think we can coun’t on you anymore Zo. In a “situation” ,you just didn’t show true leadership skills, just a raw ego. Total turn off.
Perhaps, Lisa, you shouldn’t snipe about things you clearly do not comprehend. Intellectual property, attribution, and journalistic or artistic integrity, for instance. And Christian Conservatives just may be above your paygrade as well.
Attribution has always been and always will be an issue – hence copyright laws, for instance. This is the salient quote: “If that’s the case then he shouldn’t care to take the credit for other peoples creativity.”
NOBODY tolerates that in the professional or art world for long – and I guarantee you that being a Christian has precisely JACK to do with it. You haven’t seen anything til you’ve seen the Godless Heathen Hordes go after each other, cupcake.
Zo, sorry to hear about this, both for you and for Glenn. Hope it gets straightened out with minimal loss on all sides. I did read the DC article after my husband mentioned it – up to that point I hadn’t heard anything about this.

Zo – I am a fan of yours and promote you as much as I can. I am also a fan of GB and promote him as much as I can. However, I am sure that somewhere along the line I have shared ideas of both yours and his and didn’t give you or him credit. It was not intentional, I just do not have to remember where I got the idea from. I do not have a national show but I am about to build a site that may become popular. When I do I will cite sources because it will give credibility to me. In the end, I apologize for not giving you credit every time that I adopted one of your ideas. Granted GB should cite sources but if he cited a YouTube commentator do you think it would be considered credible? Maybe you should rethink the radio career it would give you credibility and force people to cite you. Don’t become an elitist it doesn’t fit you well.
